Our Origin & Case Study
During our industry analysis, we identified a critical failure in the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) value chain: a lack of verified, auditable data. Producers are struggling with reporting gaps, while the true backbone of South African recycling—the informal reclaimer—remains structurally excluded and economically overlooked.
We developed the Kang Smart-Gate to bridge the data divide, providing an automated, tamper-proof reporting system. Simultaneously, we launched Kang Force to formally integrate reclaimers into the value chain, ensuring their labor is digitized, professionalized, and fairly compensated.
